These reels are machined from aerospace aluminium and are anodized to be near-indestructible, hence the lifetime original owner warranty. The drag system is sealed, which keeps the water and grit out. The stack of 5 huge Rulon and 4 stainless steel drag washers insure that the drag will not burn out or wear out. When you first see the design, you may want to hang this fly reel on the wall, but trust us, fish it and you’ll never go back.

Designing a reel to match the stunning new range of Airlite rods was no small order, not only did it need the looks, but also the performance. Taking a long hard look at the design, utilising the highest-grade aluminium available, Airflo have managed to heavily port the spool without compromising the integral strength of the reel.
This gave it stunning looks and a lightweight design. With a sealed disk drag system capable of stopping anything you’d want to cast a fly at. All in all a reel to be a little more than proud of.

Wet or dry, the sealed drag unit can be accurately set from its maximum setting, capable of stopping the largest atlantic salmon down to protecting the lightest tippets when fishing for chalk stream browns. The CNC machined full cage design allows more aluminium to be machined away without compromising on the integral strength of the reel. As robust as it is beautiful!
