Opti Speedrunner and Opti Megaloop are big as bicycle wheels and spin just as fine. The large arbour allows for a high-speed retrieve when battling high-speed fish. The narrow width of the V-shaped spool makes the line fall into place during the retrieve. Other finesses are the bevelled spool and the ergonomic handle that makes the line slide off without getting tangled.

Originally introduced four years ago, they set the standard for high quality fly reels. Now its appearance has been sharpened and the drag fine tuned. The new brake package is of Swedish design, completely sealed/watertight and smoother and better than before. Also new is a better spool-change process and the ability to right-size the reel to your fishing situation without purchasing multiple reels. Manufactured from the same aircraft grade aluminium as before and is available in three different spool sizes (FW, LW & HD.)
