Backbone of the offer is an Atlas 12ft beachcaster ringed for use with a fixed spool reel. Fittings and fixtures include screw-winch reel seat, Duplon type handle grips, bright orange ‘see those bites in the dark' tip and the capability to cast leads in the 4-8oz range.

Teamed with the rod you get a Vigor TJ Surf 70 fixed-spool reel complete with spare spool. The shallow spool can carry 160 metres of 0.37mm line, the deeper one 290m of 0.37mm. Gearing is fairly swift at 4.6:1, the clutch is on the front with the anti-reverse lever on the back of the lower handle. You will need a tripod, so we offer the Super Match model with front bracer, double sliding butt cups, double top supports and a handy lamp hook.
