Guideline's Core jacket will keep you dry, warm and extremely comfortable during chilly days on the river or on the coast. It is filled with 80 gram PrimaLoft® SPORT which is perfect for extended outdoor use. Wear it as a mid layer garment under your wading jacket on cold, rainy (or snowy) days or as an ultra-light top layer under a vest or pack when the forecast says no rain.

Core is cut on the ”slim fit” side to be comfortable under a shell jacket. If you want it to be loose fit, buy it one size larger than normal. It is cut with a longer back to make sure it doesn't expose the lower back when bending over. The comfortable, low profile hood is filled with 40 grams Primaloft, just right to make it nice and warm, yet keeping it small enough to fit nicely inside your wading jacket.

Core has a full length front zipper, two zippered side pockets, one zippered inside pocket, elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem. The 20D Ultra Light Nylon Outshell is backed with a breathable, water resistant PU coating and it is treated with a silicon based water repellency layer on the outside, making it both wind proof and lightly rain proof, although it is not a rain garment. It's a super light weight jacket. Weight in Size “L” is only 460 grams (16 oz).

PRIMALOFT™ SPORT

Because of its superior warmth, water repellency and light weight properties, Primaloft is the single most thermally-efficient insulation available. When wet, Primaloft not only out-performs goose down (the only thing to challenge it when dry), but all other synthetics too. With its water-hating microscopic fibers, Primaloft repels water better than any other synthetic insulation. While it is almost as lofty and light weight as down, Primaloft is also completely hypo-allergenic.

Most other synthetics are made of fibers up to 20 times larger than Primaloft, and just as Primaloft's micro-fibers trap heat better, they are also much softer than their thicker counterparts. Independent tests have shown that Primaloft is slightly warmer when dry compared to other synthetic insulations, but whereas other insulations lose up to 60% of their thermal retention when wet, Primaloft lost absolutely no insulating value. Primaloft also breathes, making it ideal as an active insulation layer. We use Primaloft Sport which is proven to have the best long term durability and recovery from continuous compression.
