The Fulling Mill Dry Sauce is their premium fly floatant that cleans, dries and waterproofs your fly in one easy step. The floatant is totally insoluble in water meaning you won't get an ‘oily' slick around your fly, hopefully, allowing more fish to freely eat your offering without hesitation. It's also temperature stable so won't melt and leak whilst stored in warm places.
The best way to apply the floatant is to squeeze a small amount onto your fingers and gently rub into the fly. Focusing on the area of the fly you wish to float. If it's an emerger, lather the top of the fly, if it's a full dry fly pattern, cover the whole of the fly to add buoyancy.
The Dry Sauce is a long lasting liquid, allowing you to fish a fairly long time before having to re-treat – a big bonus when the fishing is fast and furious.
