Flying Fisherman was founded in 1972 but didn't launch their first line of flying fishing sunglasses until 1985 after years of research. They are based in the Florida Keys, which has the unique benefit of having proper conditions for nearly all fishing environments available to them on their doorstep. This location allows them to research all sorts of situations to develop their AcuTint lens technology.
AcuTint lenses are available in three different materials: Triacetate,
Polycarbonate or Ground and Polished Polarised Glass. All lenses have a polarising filter designed to absorb horizontal glare, therefore offering increased optical clarity at depth.
They are also designed to protect the eyes from harmful UV rays and reduce eye fatigue with minimal colour distortion.
