FX2 single handed rods are the second generation of Mackenzie rods made using Graphene, the lightest, strongest material known to man. FX2 rods also use a brand-new aerospace carbon technology which, along with the FX Graphene technology, has allowed us to make amongst the lightest and strongest rods on the market today. The 9ft #5 Rod: This new 9’#5 rod has been designed in keeping with the new FX Graphene technology, with river Trout and Grayling fishing in mind. It is now a lighter rod than the original FX1, has a smooth action for relaxed accurate casts at all ranges, easy to roll cast yet still capable of throwing a long line and a very tight loop when required. It’s uniquely designed taper and action allows for very accurate casting.
The 9ft #6 Rod: This new 9’#6 rod is a superb all round fishing rod. It is now a lighter rod than the original FX1 and has a fairly fast tip action. It is capable of casting all sizes of trout flies with superb accuracy at any range you will ever need to fish at. Great for casting all sizes of flies, including nymph rigs with indicators.
The 9ft6 #6 Rod: This new 9’6 #6 rod has been designed in keeping with the new FX Graphene technology and is a superb all-round rod for different species, this rod has a fairly fast tip action and is capable of casting most sizes of trout fly with superb accuracy at just about any range you will ever need to fish at including large air resistant dry flies, nymph rigs with indicators, on large exposed waters and tackling larger than average trout.
The 10ft #6 Rod: This 10ft #6 rod comes as a result of popular demand from the worldwide clients for a slightly more sensitive but powerful 10ft rod, it has been designed with the new Aerospace carbon and FX Graphene technology creating an action that is middle to tip with a fast recovery and it will cover many types of fly fishing from large streams to lochs.
The 10ft #7 Rod: This 10ft #7 rod has been designed using the new Aerospace carbon and FX Graphene technology, this rod is now lighter and faster than the original FX1, the action is fairly tippy with a fast recovery, it covers many types of fly fishing, from large reservoirs to smaller still waters, it has also been designed to handle all line densities. it is also a perfect rod for salmon and sea trout on smaller rivers.
