MAP pushed boundaries with their TKS 901, and now they have pushed those boundaries even further. Using a totally new mandrel, and using exclusive highest quality Japanese carbon and resins, MAP has developed not only the stiffest 16m pole on the market (yes, it's stiffer than the 901) but they have also developed the slimmest 16.0m on the market ‐ measuring an incredible 43mm at 16.0m. On top of this, MAP has managed to make this pole incredibly strong, in fact, it's 35% stronger than the 901. This is a totally new level in pole design. As with all the other new TKS poles, each top kit supplied with the pole features a unique depth marker print, so you can quickly find the correct amount of depth you require or know what depth you were actually fishing at. However, these kits are much shorter in length than other TKS top kits, measuring 7'10" in length. Each kit is also supplied with an extra-long PTFE bush fitted as standard, and fitted with MAP's unique side puller.
