The outstanding Flow-through wading staff is built for fast water and deep wading. The most pleasing part of this thoroughly modern stick is the way its long lanyard, when not in use, is pulled smoothly and slowly back to the handle by a counterweight hanging inside the shaft. Another innovation is the double handle: grip the top handle when stepping downhill (into the river, perhaps) and
grip the lower handle when climbing uphill.
The staff is made from hard-anodised aluminium and feels built to last. The base of the stick has a large slug of lead to help anchor it in a fast flow. The staff is holed and hollow and fills with water, which gives it an equal density to the current, preventing it from floating. The bottom 20 inches of the shaft are lined with protective polyolefin. Securely attaches to your wading belt to ensure you don't lose it. Length: 54 in.
- Lower grip is held when climbing out of water - top grip is held when clambering in.
- Water fills the shaft so the stick doesn't float. Lanyard's counterweight slides up and down.
- Rubber butt means you wade quietly. Coating protects stick from rocks.
