Korda have released their first major variation to their lead range, and the new textured coating has been developed due to massive demand from anglers. While textured leads aren't a new concept, great time and effort has been spent developing the matt finish camouflage, making sure that the combination of coating granules produce the subtlest finish possible, and one that would match the terrain they're lying on. The advantage to a textured lead is that the matt coating won't reflect light the way a conventionally coated lead would, and it picks up the sediment of the lakebed to add to the camouflage. And what absorbs sediment will also absorb flavours, glugs and dips. Korda suggest adding a dash of Goo for an extra dimension to the setup. Initially, only three versions of the Korda lead will feature the textured coating: the Distance Casting, the Flat Pear Inline and the Flat Pear Swivel – each in 2, 2.5 and 3oz.
