The Härkila clim8 HWS gloves are more than just a pair of warm, windproof, and waterproof hunting gloves; with the help of the ground-breaking clim8 technology, you can customise the level of warmth you want them to be each time you wear them. To understand how intelligent they are, you must experience them. These gloves will rapidly become a staple in your wardrobe for all cold-weather outdoor activities, not just for hunting.
The Härkila clim8 HWS gloves are made from a soft, low-noise and quick-drying tricot fabric, and they feature Harkila's own windproof and waterproof Härkila Weather System (HWS) membrane, designed specifically for hunting, being stretchier and more silent than other membranes. The membrane is designed with a hydrostatic head of 20,000mm and a breathability rating of 20,000g/m². The fabric has also been given a DWR treatment to make it dirt- and water-repellent.
Inside, the gloves incorporate the innovative clim8 technology, which provides heat where you need it most: on the top of the hand and on the fingers. The first time you use the gloves, you use the relevant app to set the desired temperature. The technology is then smart enough to notice each time you put them on and automatically heat them to the level you set. If you are very active and start getting hot, the technology automatically turns the heat down. Conversely, if you are sitting still or the weather is getting colder, the technology automatically turns the heat up.
The heat is provided by means of a rechargeable battery that zips into a pocket underneath the wrist. A full charge provides around 2.5 hours of heat at an outdoor temperature of 0 degrees. The gloves are lined with PrimaLoft and have rubberised palms, to ensure a good grip on your firearm. The cuffs incorporate a single-handed, elastic drawstring, to fit the gloves snugly around your arm and keep the cold air out.
