This rod is one of two new and unused identical rods and had been traded in to us by one of our customers who had to give up fishing due to ill health and never had a chance to use it. These are light as a feather with a lovely action.

The Fario CRS project started off as an exchange of ideas on casting and single handed trout rod actions in Autumn 2012. These ideas soon turned into a development plan to create a trout anglers dream rod. This development was inspired by the collective experience of professional casting instructor, Christopher Rownes and Guideline's head of research %amp; development, Lief Stävmo. The goal was to find a way to design blanks that had the right quality, attitude, curve, recovery speed, low weight and diameters to form the foundation of a great rod. After 2 years in the making, Guideline are proud to introduce the Fario CRS.
Designed to be high-performance rods, the Fario CRS rods are super lightweight with fast-action that hold massive power-reserves in the bottom part of the rod. If you enjoy responsive and accurate casting, the Fario CRS will appeal to you. The Fario CRS Series consists of seven models, all incredibly light and range from 8ft9 to 9ft.

- Manufactured from high-grade Japanese graphite, reinforced with pure carbon scrim. This combination offers lightweight blanks with faster recovery speeds than rods with more commonly used glass scrims.
- Grips are made from the highest quality cork.
- Custom designed Super Grade Cork Grips, manufactured on site in the factory in Portugal.
- Exclusive and lightweight reel seats with aluminium metal parts in Titanium finish. Wood spacers made from stunningly beautiful Amboyna wood and complement the rod colour and wrappings perfectly. the sliding hood has the Fario Mayfly engraved on the top.
- For the guide set on these State of the Art rods, lightest and strongest possible was the obvious choice. Both stripper guides and single leg guides are Recoil brand.
- Guide wrappings are short, made with amber coloured, semi-transparent thread for a stunning look with a minimum of extra added weight. Thin, clear epoxy coats give the wrappings a strong and good looking finish.
- CRS rods come in lightweight, breathable, synthetic rod bags that offer a better micro-climate and protection for your rods.
- The triangular polyethylene rod tubes with rip-stop fabric, have low weight, reflective logo prints and solid, light carry handles.
